William Hill’s Former Exec David Fuke Returns to Betsson Group

William Hill’s former chief product officer (CPO) for the UK, David Fuke, has returned to Betsson Group after a six-year hiatus from the company. 

Fuke, who describes himself as a “highly accomplished product and design leader helping businesses supercharge their product thinking,” will be Bettson’s new director of product.

Betsson, as Energetic and Ambitious as Always 

One month after he made his comeback at Betsson and rejoined the industry, Fuke took to his LinkedIn account to express his excitement for completing his “first month back” from his new position.

He said it has been “great to reconnect with many familiar faces and meet new colleagues.”

Fuke also shared that he found the group “as energetic, ambitious and forward-thinking as ever” while noting the division was actively searching for “talented individuals” to join and “add to its ranks.”

While praising the “exciting things in Product,” he also encouraged potential candidates looking forward to joining “a winning team” to contact them or familiarize themselves with their open job positions. 

Impressive Resume

Fuke initially joined the company that announced a 12% YoY revenue increase and a record EBIT for the first quarter of 2024 in October 2016.  

His first position was that of director of customer experience which he carried for almost a year before switching to the responsibilities of a director of platform product for the next nine months.

In July 2018, he joined William Hill as product director before he was appointed chief product officer in December 2019, a role that allowed him to lead a 50+ product and design team, working with 300 engineers.

One year and a half later, he announced he would put his career on hold for just under a year. He then went back to working outside of the iGaming industry for the next three-and-a-half years.

Between March 2022-July 2023, he was interim/fractional digital product director for Irish Life. 

His main responsibility was to offer advice and consultation for Ireland’s leading insurance, pensions, and investment company. 

Between March 2022 and July 2023, he was a self-employed product advisor offering interim and fractional CPO, product director, and other product leadership support in Bristol, England. 

Fuke’s impressive resume also includes important positions with Sporting Options in 2002 before accepting a series of product roles with Gala Coral Group, bwin.party digital entertainment, and Ladbrokes.

Between 2007 and 2009, the Lancaster University graduate was also the product development manager for Endemol, a digital agency for tier-1 UK gaming companies.
