Two Players to Share Oregon Megabucks Jackpot
- Two lucky Oregon lottery players have won the Megabucks jackpot
- The winners will share a prize of $11.1 million
- The winning tickets were sold by shops in Albany and Portland
Two ticket-holders in Oregon are set to share a life-changing $11.1 million jackpot. The prize had been growing for months before it was finally won by two tickets, purchased in different locations.
Two Separate Stores Sold Jackpot-Winning Tickets
On June 2, the Oregon Lottery provided details about the win, which happened on April 13. According to lottery officials, the Megabucks jackpot had been eluding players for some eight months before it was finally hit by two players who matched all six winning numbers for the April 13 drawing.
One of the two jackpot-winning tickets was sold at US Market 180, located at 1709 Hill Street SE in Albany. The other winning ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven store at 11111 SW Capitol Highway in Portland. Both stores will receive a bonus of $56,000 each for selling the prize-winning tickets.
US Market 180 owners spoke with lottery representatives on the matter. Co-owners Rupinder Kaur and Parveen Sidhu said that they were excited about the big win. Kaur noted that her daughter was the one who sold the winning ticket and that it went to one of the shop’s regular customers.
She sold it and was also working when he scanned it in the store. She said to the customer, ‘Did you check your Megabucks ticket? Maybe you are the winner? Let’s find out together.’

US Market 180 has been serving as an Oregon Lottery retailer since 2007. However, this was the first time the store had sold a jackpot-winning ticket. Kaur added that the incentive money the store will receive will allow her to usher in some upgrades, such as a fresh food cooler and a soda fountain machine upgrade.
For context, the previous Megabucks jackpot landed in 2025 when an Eugene man scooped up an impressive $8.1 million prize from the game.
Oregon Allows Jackpot Winners to Keep Their Identities Hidden
Last year, Oregon lawmakers decided that jackpot winners do not have to worry about divulging their identity, essentially allowing them to remain anonymous. This measure aligned Oregon with other states where lottery winners can keep their identities hidden.
In more recent news, Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek put her signature at the bottom of House Bill 3020, which prohibited advance-deposit wagering services that previously allowed sports wagers on the outcome of greyhound races.
