SIS Strengthens US Presence Via Genius Sports Deal Extension

Sports Information Services has expanded its current partnership with Genius Sports provider for the distribution rights of its esports products

Multi-content supplier of live betting services, Sports Information Services (SIS) has announced an expansion of its current agreement with international sports technology provider Genius Sports.

The new deal update is aimed at extending the distribution rights of SIS’ esports products to the US market.

The two parties originally inked the “landmark distribution deal” for the distribution of SIS’s Competitive Gaming product in mid-February 2024.

Genius Sports to Deliver SIS’ H2H Global Gaming League Portfolio

According to the new terms of the agreement, Genius Sports will be able to deliver SIS’ Head-to-Head (H2H) Global Gaming League portfolio that consists of over 150,000 yearly matches

The content of the portfolio will reach Genius Sports’ comprehensive sportsbook network in the US, marking a considerable boost in the audience reach of the sports simulation product.

SIS’ esports products are currently available in Kentucky, New Jersey, and Colorado. They are dedicated to sportsbooks and they feature standard short-form eSoccer and eBasketball contests held between pro gamers.

SIS’ H2H Global Gaming league products are produced in-house using the company’s self-contained studios based in the UK.

They feature ultra-low latency live streaming, one-of-a-kind betting prompts, on-screen graphics, and live caster commentary, all meant to boost engagement to the maximum.

Widespread Distribution Strategy

Commenting on the new deal expansion, SIS Content Services’ vice president, Michele Fischer, took the opportunity to mention the growing traction of their sports sims in the states where they are currently live.

Fischer also mentioned that, by choosing to strengthen their partnership with Genius Sports, they expect to support their “US strategy for widespread distribution” of their esports products in all states.

The VP also spoke about their eSoccer and eBasketball products with a “clear track record of adding significant value to the bottom line of operators” while expressing certainty that  US-focused brands would enjoy the perks of adding their content to their portfolios.

In parallel, Genius Sports’ global partnership Director, Matt Stephenson, described SIS’ Competitive Gaming product as a “compelling product” that is currently resonating with US operators and players.

Stephenson also expressed excitement for being able to integrate “such an innovative product” into their offering and keep delivering the richest assortment of wagering opportunities.

Last month, the global leader in official sports data and technology announced the launch of a new suite of interactive free-to-play games that would address the challenges related to customer acquisition and loyalty faced by operators.
