Seasoned Player From Blakeview Wins AU$3.75M in Saturday X Lotto

A committed lottery player from Blakeview has won a whopping, live-changing AU$3.75 million (US$2.49 million) jackpot at the latest Saturday X Lotto draw on June 29

A man from Adelaide’s northern suburb of Blakeview in South Australia has won what he personally described as “life-changing money“ during the latest Saturday X Lotto draw held on June 29

The seasoned lotto player who has been a committed player for several years scooped up one of the eight division one prizes available nationwide.

Each one of them is worth a stunning AU$3.75 million (US$2.49 million), and this is exactly the amount that the Blakeview resident won.

Receiving the big news the following day upon his awakening, the man still went to work on Monday morning in Northern Adelaide and was right on schedule, like any other day in the calendar.

“I’m In a Bit of Shock”

When asked about his experience, the winner, who reported that he had only slept for “about one hour” the previous night, said he was not doing “bad” while politely thanking lottery officials for their questions.

Definitely not the type of reaction you would expect from a fresh millionaire!

He described the win as “a weird feeling,” saying he was “in a bit of shock” while trying to stay up and alert with lots of coffee and energy drinks.

Conveying his surprise to learn that he had won, he explained that he only came close with smaller matches in the same X Lotto game in the past.

The Man Has Been Playing for Years

When asked about the way he selected the winning numbers for draw 4480 which were 30, 24, 44, 21, 45, and 10 (with supplementary numbers 31 and 28), the man explained that while he managed to guess “five numbers a couple of times and even five with a supplementary number,” he never guessed all six number before.

To him, it was an “unbelievable” occurrence that made him “very glad,” especially after the news of the big win was officially confirmed by the lottery.

He plans on using the unexpected win to get rid of his mortgage payments and support his children.

“It’s really going to set up our family,” the winner of the four-game System 8 QuickPick ticket added.

The man purchased his entry using The Lott app, which is the official platform used by lotteries in the country.

Last year, the same lottery game generated no less than 176 millionaires

Half of the eight division one winning entries purchased nationwide were bought in Queensland, two in Tasmania, one in New South Wales, and one in South Australia

For the current year, The Lott’s division one winning tally stands at 208. A dozen of the wins were claimed by South Australia Lotteries customers.

In May, a ticket purchased in South Australia claimed the largest prize to date in the country, a massive AU$150 million (US$99.9 million) at the Powerball jackpot drop.
