Perlman Becomes Face of NBC Sports EDGE and PointsBet

Sara Perlman has become an official sports betting host for NBC Sports and the face of its sports wagering operator, PointsBet.

As a sports betting host and content creator, Perlman will have daily interactions with the sports wagering community, the company’s clients. She will provide entertainment and analysis. Perlman will be the host and moderator of daily video content, and she will participate in the creation of sports-betting content for PointsBet’s premium platform.

Perlman stated that she is excited about the future of sports wagering, as it is one of the most dynamic and innovative environments. She said that she is happy to work with the “terrific team” at NBC Sports EDGE and PointsBet. She also shared that they would be creating unique content every day.

As legalizing sports wagering becomes more prominent, operators and sports leagues come closer together. NHL recently acquired equity in PointsBet, buying 43,000 of its shares.

PointsBet continues to add big names to its team. Recently, the sportsbook named Shaquille O’Neal Brand Ambassador in Australia. He will be the face of the company’s brand campaign on several media channels in 2021.

Perlman’s Got a Golden Star Professional Background

With her athletic background and influential career, she would be a huge asset to NBC Sports and PointsBet. She played soccer at American University and graduated from the University of Florida.

At the beginning of her career, she was a sideline reporter and color analyst for NASL and Ft. Lauderdale Strikers. After that, she became a cage-side reporter for MMA Fights on UFC Fight Pass. In 2019 she was the Baltimore Orioles’ sideline reporter on MASN. Before that, she hosted “The Daily Line” on NBC Sports’ featuring sports wagering. 

Last year, during the NFL season, Perlman showed her exceptional talent as a host for FOX Sports’ “Talk the Line.” She also hosted postseason, the “Countdown to Kickoff” on Radio.com.
