PointsBet Taps Former Bet365 Executive to Spearhead Online Casino Growth

Following a successful first step in Arizona, PointsBet has strengthened its online casino executive team with a new hire.

PointsBet Strengthens Online Casino Team

PointsBet is quickly expanding in North America and the United States in particular. After signing an exclusive partnership with Cliff Castle Casino Hotel for market access in Arizona, PointsBet has decided to further strengthen its executive team with the addition of Aaron O’Sullivan, a Bet365 and Rank Group veteran. While the Arizona market entry was primarily focused on sports betting, O’Sullivan’s appointment is designed to boost the company’s other market vertical, online casino.

O’Sullivan is stepping in as VP of online casino revenue for North American operations, giving the sportsbook another C-level boost to spearhead its growth in the highly lucrative US market. He will work directly under company US CEO Johnny Aitken

He expressed his confidence that joining PointsBet was the right career move and commended the company on its established footprint and track record. “PointsBet’s long-term vision and strategy to iGaming gives me great confidence – the in-house tech foundation means online casino, and the company as a whole, can quickly adapt to the demands of the consumer in the growing, fast-paced North American market,” the executive noted.

A Big Opportunity for PointsBet and O’Sullivan

According to him, PointsBet is a legitimate player with immense potential, and as the company’s latest hire, O’Sullivan is thankful for the significant opportunity to be a part of the team. Having worked with Bet365 as commercial director for Boylesports, O’Sullivan has had time to cut his teeth running big sports and gaming businesses. Not least, his role with Rank Group allowed him to head the digital marketing department and garner even more experience.

His professional path has taken him through other brands, including an account manager for Playtech and marketing manager for 32Red, where he was in charge of managing jackpot games and other products.

Aitken was equally happy with the new hire, calling O’Sullivan a best-in-class talent who will help realize the power of the company’s best-in-class technology, an important step forward for PointsBet as it continues to grow.

He further added that O’Sullivan’s reputation preceded him and that he was a proven leader with extensive industry expertise. Aitken and PointsBet will rely on O’Sullivan’s expertise and knowledge of best practices to achieve the objectives the company has set for itself.
