Paddy Power is the first sportsbook across the UK and Ireland, to roll-out Spotlight Sports’ pre-match statistical insight tipping content in retail shops.

Spotlight Sports’ Pre-match Tipping for over Twenty Sports

Paddy Power, a leading British bookmaker, is launching Spotlight Sports’ new statistical pre-match tipping that will include interactive content with analyses for over twenty sports. It will be introduced before the holidays in 450 betting shops.

The tipping statistics will also share opinions from Spotlight Sports Group journalists like Steve Palmer and Mark Langdon. The combination of analysis and expert opinion will allow customers to receive insight on how odds may play out sports events and give them betting suggestions. The content is specially created for retail estate and includes match-by-match event betting.

Steven Dalton, Head of Retail Product Management at Paddy Power, shared the excitement of the launch by stating that Paddy Power is excited to see how customers will interact with the new content and possibly share feedback on their betting results in the shops.

He also added that even though this year has been a challenge for the retail industry, Paddy Power will continue to give more information and aim to improve the customer experience, amid soaring financial results for Flutter Entertainment, Paddy Power’s owner.

Better Decisions against the Odds during the Holidays

For over 20 years, Spotlight has provided insight to horse racing and greyhound daily betting publisher Racing Post in Britain and Ireland. Now the company will add interactive ‘short-form tips’ with analysis and expert opinions to make the service more engaging, informative, and provide better odds for customers in the most unprecedented times. There is hope as they are launching pre-holiday season when betting shops are opening again and there is bound to be more ‘action’ on the football field.

Alan Pepperell, Spotlight Sports Group Retail Director also shared his excitement and said that this is a very big leap for Spotlight as they have worked with Paddy Power in delivering Racing Post  content for horse and greyhound racing, both online and in-store, but this is the first time they go ‘full retail estate.’

He also commented on the partnership stating that the interactive content will give a better mixture of expert analysis and opinion to inform customers and allow them to make better decisions in terms of betting. Pepperell also shared his hopes that this will be beneficial to the retail estate and also for the end-customers.

The addition of potentially game-changing tech for the retail sector comes at a time when Paddy Power has been pushing towards the online sector and seeking to reduce the overall number of physical shops it owns.

Spotlight Sports Interactive Content is Growing in Popularity

Recently another bookmaker in the UK, Betfred, launched in-play betting content by Spotlight Sports Group. The service includes suggestions, live statistics, historical match data, live-on-field events, and content from experts in 60 languages for over 90 leagues.

The products aim to provide customers with the most updated information and give tips throughout the match.  Owing to growth in demand in the betting industry, both Spotlight and Betfred agree that customer engagement will improve with Spotlight Sports’ interactive content.
