Niklas Lindahl Resigns from Global CMO Role with LeoVegas
After nearly six years with the company, the executive confirmed his plans to depart, thanking his colleagues and LeoVegas' CEO, Gustaf Hagman
Niklas Lindahl, LeoVegas Group’s global chief marketing officer (CMO), announced his departure from the company after more than five years. The senior-level executive confirmed his resignation on Monday via LinkedIn. Overall, Lindahl was a part of LeoVegas Group for nearly six years.
His tenure with the company started back in April 2018. At the time, Lindahl joined LeoVegas as its managing director for Italy, a role that tasked him with overseeing relationships with operators in the country, among other strategic processes.
Then, for a year until February 2021, he served as head of Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) markets with LeoVegas. During that time, he was in charge of a wide range of processes that boosted the company’s growth.
In February 2021, Lindahl was appointed to the role of general manager – Europe and North America. He held the aforementioned role through August 2021 before he was elevated to the position of global CMO, a role he kept until his recently announced departure.
As global CMO, Lindahl led a team of more than 100 experts, including general managers, country managers and marketing strategists. He played a pivotal role in the development of the company’s branding and marketing strategy, establishing targets for long and short-term market share expansion.
Moreover, Lindahl oversaw financial processes, including optimization of budgets, revenue growth and helped monitor KPIs as well as other growth factors. His dedication and relentless efforts resulted in a number of achievements that strengthened LeoVegas’ position within the highly competitive gambling vertical.
The Announcement Follows Several Hires
Earlier this month, LeoVegas strengthened its C-suite with the addition of Ben Ingham. Joining the company, he was appointed to the role of UK country manager.
Before that, back in January, LeoVegas announced another strategic senior-level hire. At the time, the company confirmed it hired the former bwin and Entain executive, James Elliot. As a part of LeoVegas, he was designated as the company’s new director of legal. Overall, Elliot brought nearly two decades of experience, making him a perfect fit for the role.
“Thank you for the most amazing 5 years in my career. It has been a great ride. I will miss you all. LeoVegas is a one of kind company. Having worked there has been a privilege.“
Niklas Lindahl, outgoing global CMO at LeoVegas Group
The outgoing global CMO thanked LeoVegas and his colleagues. Lindahl recalled his exciting experiences with the company over the last five years, saying that it was a privilege to collaborate with such a team of seasoned experts. Finally, he thanked LeoVegas’ CEO, Gustaf Hagman, highlighting his exceptional leadership.
