Mohegan Names Jody Madigan Chief Operating Officer
Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment has announced the appointment of Jody Madigan as COO in charge of short-and long-term strategic business plans execution.
Jody Madigan Exits Paragon Casino to Join MGE
The former general manager of the Paragon Casino and Resort, Jody Madigan, has become the new COO of United States-based tribal casino operator Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment, the company has announced.
Jody Madigan will lead the development, execution and continuation of short-and long-term strategic business plans across all company properties, the firm’s press release unveils. Ray Pineault, president and chief executive officer of Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, welcomed Madigan’s appointment and highlighted his 20 years of experience in the hospitality and casino gaming industry, which will be crucial for MGE’s growth and success.
MGE’s new COO will report directly to Pineault and will be responsible for the development plans aimed at differentiating the company’s offering in the competitive gaming landscape. He will also have to oversee the performance of organizational strategies and the achievement of financial objectives, as well as to make sure that marketing and operational plans drive profitability.
Madigan to Oversee MGE’s Properties Strategic Planning
Madigan will also be the chief of the general managers of MGE’s properties and will have to make sure that all strategic planning is in alignment with the executive leadership group and the Mohegan Tribe. In August, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment said that it is aiming to open its new casino resort in South Korea by the second quarter of 2023. The Inspire Korea integrated resort worth $1.6 billion is being built close to Incheon International Airport near Seoul.
In his previous role at Paragon Casino and Resort, Madigan’s achievements include tripling EBITDA, boosting team member satisfaction scores, renovating the hotel, opening the first sportsbook in Louisiana, and establishing extensive management training program for tribal and non-tribal team members.
Madigan has previously served as Seneca Gaming Vice President of Strategic Execution and Business Development, Mountaineer Casino Assistant General Manager, and Casino Miami President and General Manager.
MGE is present in North America with properties in Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington, and Pennsylvania, as well as locations in Canada and Las Vegas. The company also recently announced the appointment of Christie St. Martin as its new vice president of online marketing. The company reported net revenues of $328.3 million for the three months ended June 30, 2021.
Martina is a veteran writer, analyst in researchers with years of hands-on experience in interpreting, statistics, translation, and creative writing. She has done multiple internships in various related fields and currently takes care of all Spanish and LatAm content at GBN. Martina speaks three languages to top off her array of specialist skills.
