Maryland Lottery Player Uses Personal Set of Numbers, Wins $50K

The win comes after the player has been using a personal set of numbers for a few years

Some lottery players prefer using a specific set of numbers in every draw. Others believe that random numbers for every play may bring them better chances. Whatever the case is, every win brings excitement.

Earlier this week, we told the story of a Michigan lottery player who followed his father’s advice to pick a set of numbers and play with them. This precious advice turned into gold as the lucky player won a staggering $7.19 million jackpot recently.

In a similar case, an Anne Arundel County, Maryland resident, who also used a special set of numbers won a five-figure lottery prize. The man, whose name was not disclosed by the Maryland Lottery, scored the jackpot from playing Bonus Match 5, securing a mouth-watering $50,000.

The lucky winner visited the lottery’s headquarters in Baltimore to claim his prize recently. As a single father of three daughters, the Anne Arundel County resident said that he is yet to tell his children about the happy news. Still, the lucky winner said that he would save the money from the lottery win for the moment.

The lottery player won the prize from the Bonus Match 5 drawing on June 11. He purchased the winning ticket from Southgate Liquors, a store located at 314 Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie. In light of the thrilling win, the lottery retailer will benefit from a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery.

The Winner Played with a Personal Set of Numbers

The lucky Glen Burnie player stopped to buy a drink at Southgate Liquors before going back home last week. He also purchased tickets for the popular lottery game that had a drawing on the same night. On the next day, the man visited the same store and was asked by its owner if he had purchased a Bonus Match 5 ticket yesterday.

The lottery player asked why, and he was told that somebody won a big prize. The store owner gave the lucky player a printout of the winning numbers. Once the Glen Burnie player was back home, he compared the winning numbers to the tickets he purchased, finding out that he scored the hefty $50,000 win.

The man admitted to using a special set of numbers. As described by the lottery, he used a “personal set of numbers” for a few years. Finally, those numbers brought him a hefty win.

“I had to wake up my cousin to show him because I didn’t believe it,” said the winner of the top prize from Bonus Match 5.
