Light & Wonder Deploys Player Engagement Features with PENN Entertainment
Light & Wonder has injected its prominent WONDER DROPS feature with a Michigan operator to boost engagement

Light & Wonder has brought its engagement features to the Hollywood Casino brand in Michigan after the supplier of cutting-edge solutions for the online casino sector teamed up with PENN Entertainment, the brand’s operator.
Light & Wonder Delivers WONDER DROPS Engagement Feature
The partnership sees Light & Wonder deploy its WONDER DROPS jackpot mechanic with the casino and boost its engagement and retention potential, as PENN Entertainment is determined to continue edging out the competition in the Great Lakes State, one of a handful of states that allow iGaming products.
Thanks to this implementation, Hollywood Casino will be able to offer players progressive or fixed cash prizes that will be available for any of Light & Wonder’s games that are listed on the website.
From Free Rounds to Multiplayer Games, Light & Wonder has long been specializing in the creation and delivery of standout titles that can be adapted to help enhance the player experience. Light & Wonder chief commercial officer for iGaming Robert Hays has welcomed the opportunity and said:
“Launching the Wonder Drops marketing jackpots system with Hollywood Casino in Michigan is a key step in our strategy to offer operators a flexible system that provides for innovative and engaging gaming experiences. We believe this strategy will redefine how players all over the world interact with the content we offer.”
Jason Birney, who is VP of interactive operations at PENN Entertainment, was similarly excited at the opportunity, arguing that the addition of the player engagement portfolio by Light & Wonder is another step forward for the company, and a chance to strengthen its presence in the market.
Light & Wonder Shakes Up Global Market Presence with New Appointments
Light & Wonder is a true globe-trotter in the iGaming industry, with operations across multiple contents and a strong representation in the world’s core online casino markets.
Light & Wonder has recently introduced changes to its iGaming division with the appointment of Simon Johnson, a company insider, as its new chief executive officer.
The company similarly introduced changes to its Asian operations, introducing Ken Jolly and Glenn Hubrecht as VP of strategic development and VP and managing director respectively.
