Light & Wonder Shakes up Leadership Team in Asia

Light & Wonder, a leading provider of online and land-based casino experiences, has announced major changes to its team in Asia, with the company looking to streamline regional operations

The company has appointed Glenn Huybrecht as VP and managing director, Asia, whereas Ken Jolly will be now serving as VP of strategic development, Asia.

Strategic Duo to Boost Light & Wonder’s Reach in Asia

Both are well-seasoned iGaming veterans who are also company insiders able to steer Light & Wonder towards success. Huybrecht himself already has a year under his belt as the company’s chief operating officer, a position he assumed in January 2024, but which he is now leaving for his new office.

“The Asia region will be a primary focus area for the company and we’re confident this group, under Glenn’s leadership, can deliver a key part of our company’s mission,” said Light & Wonder SVP and managing director international Simon Johnson.

He further added that it was exciting to see the executive further assist with Light & Wonder’s core mission of pushing further into the region and securing more business opportunities.

Yet, apart from strengthening existing markets, Light & Wonder will similarly make it its keen ambition to also look for more opportunities elsewhere. This will be the task ahead of Jolly, who will want to expand the company’s reach into new markets across Asia, such as Japan and Thailand.

Johnson was similarly confident in the performance that Jolly would deliver and had nothing but praise to offer for the new executive.

“Ken’s extensive experience and leadership will be invaluable as we navigate new challenges and opportunities in the region together and he has a vital role in developing and expanding our business,” he added.

Light & Wonder Happy with Appointments, Confident of the Future

Ultimately, Light & Wonder is happy with the appointment of both Jolly and Huybrecht, which the company expects to contribute to achieving the firm’s strategic goals in the Asian market.

Several months ago, the company also saw another change in its executive suite, after Dylan Stanley, the now former chief executive officer of iGaming, decided to step down.

At the same time, Light & Wonder has also been expanding in Oceania, and the company has been pushing its products onboard cruise ships across Europe, North America, and Asia.
