Las Vegas Raiders Tend to Show Up Against Pittsburgh Steelers
The first Las Vegas Raiders vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game was played back in 1994, and since then, these two have met a total of 32 times. The Raiders lead the series 17-15 overall, and 14-12 in regular season games.
When it comes to their duels played on the Raiders turf, the home team won 4 and lost 3, with all of those wins happening in the 21st century. However, since moving to Vegas, the Raiders have only met the Steelers once. This happened a year ago when we saw them lose 23:18 to the visitors.
Unsurprisingly, it was a close game as both teams were good defensively last season. In 2024, the Raiders’ defense is the 5th-worst in the league, but that’s because they – somewhat surprisingly – conceded 30+ points against both the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos.
You can bet that they’ll do better against the Steelers in Week 6. It’s not just because the Raiders’ defenders need to up their game, but also because the boys from Pittsburgh are 7th-worst in the league when it comes to scoring.
Pittsburgh Steelers Eager to Start Winning Again
After a great start to the 2024 NFL season with three wins straight, the Pittsburgh Steelers went on to lose the last two games. First, they lost to the Indianapolis Colts; then, they lost to the Dallas Cowboys. Each time, they lost by just a field goal.
Their defense was solid in every single game so far in the 2024 NFL. In fact, with 14.6 points conceded on average, the Steelers defense is in shared second place in the league.
Their offense is one of the worst with just 18.4 points per game. On the bright side, the Steelers scored 20 or more points in each of their last three games.
Las Vegas Raiders vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Prediction
The Steelers have such a good defensive team that they should be able to handle the Raiders’ offense with ease. Their offense hasn’t been impressive so far, but with players like QB Justin Fields, WR George Pickens, and RB Najee Harris, they should do just fine.
The Raiders vs. Steelers Week 6 game probably won’t be a high-scoring affair, but we think the visitors will score just enough points to cover the 3-point spread.
Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers -3
