Kindred Names Nils Andén as Permanent CEO

Andén is proud to continue in the role as CEO of Kindred Group and is looking forward to executing the group’s ambitious business plans

Kindred Group, one of the world’s leading online gambling operators, announced that its board of directors has decided to appoint Nils Andén as the company’s permanent chief executive officer. For reference, the appointee has been serving as interim CEO for almost a year.

Andén was named interim CEO back in May 2023 following Henrik Tjärnström’s departure from the company. Andén is notably a long-time Kindred executive who has served the company for a decade before temporarily leaving in 2016.

From 2006 through 2016, he held a number of senior-level roles, such as head of poker and head of established markets. Prior to departing from the company in 2016, Andén served as the chief marketing officer of Kindred’s flagship Unibet brand.

Andén eventually rejoined Kindred in 2020, assuming the role of chief commercial officer for Scandinavia, East and South Europe and North America.

Andén Is Looking Forward to Leading Kindred

As someone with years of experience in Kindred’s business operations, Andén was a perfect fit to lead Kindred, the company’s directors believe. According to Evert Carlsson, Kindred Group’s chairman, the board is “very pleased” that Andén is willing to take on this job.

Carlsson praised Andén’s exceptional job as interim chief executive, praising him as an “appreciated leader” with a vast knowledge of both Kindred and iGaming as a whole.

We look forward to working with Nils and his team as he continues to lead the company on its strategic direction.

We have a great team who are working hard to deliver on an exciting strategy that will strengthen Kindred’s position in locally regulated markets, and I look forward to continue to execute on our plan.
