Negro is set to exit the company in a few days, and will be replaced by Ray Anderson on an interim basis.

The Outgoing CFO Wanted to Spend More Time with His Family

In its official announcement, Scientific Games announced that Nick Negro will officially step down as CFO on May 15, ending his three-year stint with the company. Negro was credited with helping the company grow and achieve major successes.

According to the company’s official announcement, Negro’s departure is due to his decision to pursue a new business opportunity in Chicago that will allow him to be closer to his family.

As mentioned, Negro’s departure has led to the appointment of Ray Anderson as the company’s interim chief financial officer. He stepped into the office on May 4 and will remain in place until a permanent substitute has been determined.

According to Scientific Games, Anderson is a “seasoned finance leader and CPA” who boasts some three decades of experience in a variety of leadership roles. He previously served as a global lead partner – a position in which he advised Fortune 500 companies on audit, capital markets and regulatory strategy.

CEO McHugh Expressed Confidence in Anderson’s Ability to Oversee the Transition

Company leaders commented on Negro’s departure, with Pat McHugh, the company’s chief executive officer, saying that he has been a strong member of the company’s C-suite and a firm believer in its potential.
