Justin Gaethje Coming to Vegas as a -160 Favorite

Justin Gaethje’s UFC 313 odds are -160, which isn’t surprising at all. In fact, we thought they’re going to be even shorter than that.

The thing is that this guy’s had a full camp, which Fiziev did not. Further, he’s already defeated him once.

Truth be told, it was a very close fight, with Gaethje winning by a majority decision after three rounds of intense fighting – the fight even won the Fight of the Night accolade.

The UFC 313 co-main event will be a 3-round fight as well, so you can expect pretty much the same from these two. They’re going to go to war on March 8, but who will come out victorious?

Can Rafael Fiziev Get His Payback?

Rafael Fiziev is a real joy to watch in the Octagon. He’s a hell of a kickboxer, who’s famous for some incredible Matrix-like moves. At one point, he was thought of as the next big thing in the UFC Lightweight Division, but then the fight with Gaethje came.

He was 12-1 at the time and was seen as the betting favorite. Sure, he did great in that fight, but not great enough to win over all three judges.

After that loss, Fiziev was determined to bounce back with a win over Mateusz Gamrot, but things didn’t go well this time either. He got injured in the second round, so his opponent won by a TKO.

This happened in September 2023 and since then, he hasn’t fought a single fight. He’s going to fight on March 8, with just over a week to prepare. Add to that the fact that he had to fly over half the world from his residence in Thailand to get to Vegas. He’ll also probably need to cut some weight, which will further impact his fitness.

Justin Gaethje vs. Rafael Fiziev Prediction

Justin Gaethje is our pick. We just can’t see him losing to Rafael Fiziev on March 8. If it were other circumstances, sure, but Fiziev just doesn’t seem ready for this fight. This doesn’t mean that Fiziev will embarrass himself, but we’re pretty confident we’ll see him lose in the end.

Pick: Justin Gaethje
