Detroit Lions Games to Debut from the Michigan Lottery

The 2024 National Football League (NFL) season is set to start next week Thursday, September 5. Just in time for the start of the new season, the Michigan Lottery confirmed it will launch three new Detroit Lions-branded games. The new games will celebrate the start of the football season while granting a chance for residents and visitors of Michigan to win mouth-watering cash prizes.

The Detroit Lions is a famous Detroit-based professional American football team that competes in the NFL. The team comes off a strong 2023 when they were able to reach the NFC Championship game. The last time this happened was more than three decades ago, in 1991.

The last time the Michigan Lottery released Detroit Lions-branded games was back in 2010. At the time, the operator once again engaged with the popular team to deliver games that offered top prizes of $25,000.

The release of the three new Detroit Lions-themed games is scheduled for September 3. The Michigan Lottery confirmed that there will be one pull tab game, one instant game and one online instant game, all themed after the Motor City team.

While the pull tab and instant game will be available via retail lottery outlets across the state, players interested in accessing the online instant game will be able to do so via the Michigan Lottery’s official website.

The New Lottery Games Grant a Chance for Live-Changing Prizes

Suzanna Shkreli, the Michigan Lottery’s commissioner, said that it is exciting to see what the Detroit Lions will achieve during this football season, especially after their historic season last year. “I am very excited for our sponsorship and the launch of three Detroit Lions-themed Lottery games, and we expect similar excitement for these games and the chance to win life-changing prizes up to $500,000,” added Shkreli.

Starting September 3, Michiganders will be able to enjoy the Detroit Lions Instant Ticket game. The game will have a price tag of $5, offering prizes of up to $500,000. Overall, the Detroit Lions Instant Ticket will offer more than $23.5 million in prizes.

On the other hand, the Lions’ Pull Tab Game will be with a $1 price tag, offering a total of $1.4 million in prizes. The grand prize from this game will be $6,000.

As noted, a Lions-themed Online Instant Game is also going to be launched on September 3. The game will offer a wide range of prizes up to $250,000.
