Can Buffalo Bills Finally Beat KC in the Playoffs?
The last time the Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason was in 1993. They did, however, beat them many times in the regular season, including once in the 2024 NFL. This happened in November in Orchard Park, where the final score was 30:21.
While the Bills are famous for their incredible passing game orchestrated by quarterback Josh Allen, in the game with KC, they focused mostly on running. Allan scored one rushing touchdown while running back James Cook scored two. They also scored one passing TD, when the wide receiver Curtis Samuel caught the ball.
Since then, they’ve played another eight games, scoring more than 30 points in five of those. They came close to breaking the 30-point mark in their most recent game as well – they beat the Baltimore Ravens 27:25 last weekend.
They entered the Divisional Round game as underdogs but managed to put on a great performance and grab a win. Josh Allen was brilliant once again, scoring two rushing TDs this time. Buffalo’s third TD of the game was the work of running back Ray Davis.
Kansas City Chiefs Confident of Another Win
The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl the last two times and are determined to do it again. What’s interesting, however, is that they haven’t been too impressive on the field this season, even though they finished the regular season as the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Their biggest win of the season was the 29:10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the penultimate game week of 2024. Their best offensive performance was when they scored 30 points against the Carolina Panthers in Week 12.
In their most recent game, they defeated the Houston Texans 23:14, with Patrick Mahomes throwing one TD pass. Running back Kareem Hunt scored KC’s other TD of the game.
Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs Prediction
The Kansas City Chiefs seem to hold the key to beating the Buffalo Bills in the postseason. However, we do think that the boys from New York State could stage an upset on Sunday evening. The thing is that they’ve looked much more impressive than KC in most games this season. This goes especially given that they had a much tougher schedule than the Chiefs.
Pick: Buffalo Bills
