Australia: Four Lucky Players Triumph with AU$1M Weekday Windfall Win

Four lucky Australian lottery players won AU$1 million ($672,400) each after a recent draw of The Lott’s popular game, Weekday Windfall. The four winners won big on draw 4410 which was held on Monday.

The quartet guessed correctly all winning numbers, 13, 7, 15, 29, 5, 11 and supplementary numbers 20 and 38 from the game’s first drawing for this week. While two of the entries for Weekday Windfall’s 4410 draw came from South Australia, there was also one entry from Queensland and one from Victoria.

In a press release, The Lott uncovered details regarding two of the lucky winners. One of the lottery players who scored an AU$1 million ($672,400) payday bought their ticket from Woodville North Deli on 171C Hanson Road, Woodville North.

Although The Lott confirmed where the ticket was purchased, the identity of the lucky winner was not disclosed.

Lottery winners have the option to remain completely anonymous, which means that it is likely that the identity of the lucky gambler will remain a mystery forever.

An Itch on an Arm Precedes the Million Dollar Win

Another lucky gambler who scored an AU$1 million ($672,400) win from the recent Weekday Windfall draw also preferred not to have their identity disclosed. Yet, the lucky woman who lives in Newton with her family decided to tell an interesting story on what led to her to the million-dollar win.

The lucky woman said that as she was cleaning the house she felt an itch on her arm. When talking to her mother about it, she was told “That means money! You should put a lotto ticket on!” The woman then decided to play but she wasn’t the only one that chipped in for the lottery draw.

Her mother, her sister and her brother also decided to play. Sharing her excitement, the lucky winner said: “Oh gosh. I’m starting to cry! I’ve been crying all day. This is good karma coming back to us.”

She said that once she realized she had won AU$1 million, she was terrified to carry her purse that held the ticket. As with any lottery player, her biggest fear was losing the ticket.

The Newton woman said that she jokes around a lot with her family. This is why initially, some of her relatives didn’t believe her that she won a million dollars.

When asked what she plans to do with the money, the lucky winner said she would definitely book an overseas trip. Still, she said that this would be done with her portion of the winnings as she played together with her family. The second winning ticket for the recent Weekday Windfall draw was purchased from Metro Newsagency Newton on 299 Montacute Road in Newton.
