Reasons Why Christopher Bell Is Favored to Win the 2025 Race

Christopher Bell is the man who won this race last year and bookies think he’s going to do it again. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver enters the 2025 Shriners Children’s 500 as the clear favorite, priced at +450.

He dominated this race in 2024, leading 143 laps on his way to victory. It was one of his best performances not only of the season but of his entire career.  

His momentum has carried into 2025, with wins in two of the first three races. He did start the season poorly, finishing in the 31^st place at Daytona in the first event of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series.

In the next two, he did much better. In fact, he did better than anyone else – he won the races in Atlanta and Austin.  

What About Other Contenders?

Kyle Larson is second on the list of favorites to win on March 9, the reason being that he thrives on short, flat tracks like Phoenix.

Then, there’s Ryan Blaney, who’s been one of the most consistent drivers at Phoenix, winning the 2023 title here and regularly finishing in the top five.

William Byron also tends to do well here, which is why he’s one of the drivers with the Shriners Children’s 500 odds of under +1000.

The last driver with odds shorter than that is Chase Elliott, the 2020 Cup champion at Phoenix. Sure, he has struggled with consistency but remains a potential threat.

2025 Shriners Children’s 500 Prediction

Christopher Bell looks like the best bet to win the Shriners Children’s 500. He dominated this race last year and has started the 2025 season on fire – he’s coming to Phoenix after two wins in a row.

Knowing all this, it’s only logical to assume he’s going to win on March 9.
