2024 Olympics Women’s Beach Volleyball Odds, Time, and Prediction

Women’s Beach Volleyball is one of the most exciting events of the 2024 Olympics, especially if you take a look at betting odds. They suggest several teams have a very good chance to challenge for the gold medal on August 9

Eighteen teams will compete in the Women’s Beach Volleyball event of the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Team US, Brazil, and a few other nations have two teams to represent them. What’s interesting is that neither of the US teams will feature the winners of the gold medal in the previous Olympics.

Nevertheless, the Americans are still among the top favorites to win this event. Still, it’s Brazil’s team consisting of Ana Silva Ramos and Eduarda Santos Lisboa Duda that’s seen as the No.1 favorite for Gold.

Ana Patricia/Duda Eying the Gold Medal

Ana Patricia and Duda took part in the previous Olympic Games, albeit in different teams. Ana Patricia was in the team with Rebecca and they reached the quarterfinals. Duda was in the team with Agatha and got eliminated in the first round of the knockout phase.

Ana Patricia and Duda joined forces in 2022 and since then, they’ve won Gold at the World Championships in Rome, as well as Gold at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile.

Fast-forward to the summer of 2024 and both Ana Patricia and Duda look unstoppable. They’re in their mid-20s now, and they seem to be in terrific form. Duda is arguably the best defender in the world, while Ana Patricia is one of the tallest female beach volleyball players standing at 6’4.

Can USA Teams Do Anything in Women’s Beach Volley?

The Women’s Beach Volleyball odds suggest that the two American teams are in the top three on the list of the favorites for Gold. The first of those teams is Kristen Nuss/Taryn Kloth. These two ladies have been playing together since 2021, meaning that they work very well together.

Still, their strongest weapon is their athleticism. Kloth is a 6’4 player who’s amazing in the air, while Nuss is famous for her agility, making her one of the best defenders on the planet.

The other US team is Sara Hughes/Kelly Cheng. These two are veterans of the sport, which they’ve been practising for over a decade.

What’s interesting, however, is that these two ladies seem to be in their prime right now. The evidence is that they won the gold medal in the 2023 World Championships in Tlaxcala.

2024 Olympics: Women’s Beach Volleyball Prediction

Hughes/Cheng won the most recent major tournament – the 2023 World Championships – after beating Ana Patricia/Duda 2-0 in the final. In the semifinal, they beat Nuss/Kloth 2-1. This happened only 10 months ago, so things probably haven’t changed drastically since then. That said, we wouldn’t be shocked if these two American ladies won the gold medal at the 2024 Olympics.

Pick: Hughes/Cheng
