Robert Soper Joins Board of Directors at Esports Entertainment Group

The leading global business-to-business esports content and solutions provider and iGaming company, Esports Entertainment Group (EEG), announced a new appointment. On Monday, EEG unveiled it expanded its list of experts by adding Robert Soper to its Board of Directors. Joining the company’s Board, he brings extensive experience within the gaming and hospitality vertical.

Previously, Soper served as president and CEO at Mohegan Sun Pocono located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, as well as president and CEO of Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. He closely monitored the launch of the first casino in Pennsylvania, while also overseeing the company’s entry into the iGaming vertical.

Soper’s professional experience includes a senior-level role as CEO and president of Mohegan’s parent company, Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority (MTGA). At the time, he was in charge of the development of the business and spearheaded its day-to-day operations. Under Soper’s guidance, the company was able to secure a license for an integrated resort in Korea within a field consisting of more than 34 companies.

Soper Brings Significant Experience within the Gaming Sector

Overall, EEG’s new Board member brings extensive experience spanning more than two decades within the gaming and hospitality vertical. Throughout his career, he was in charge of different projects that grew exponentially within a competitive vertical.

In addition to the gaming and hospitality sectors, Soper has experience within the advisory industry. In fact, he is the CEO and founder of the leading provider of advisory services for regulators, banks, developers, investors and resort operators, Sun Gaming & Hospitality. The company provides reliable advisory services primarily focused on large-scale resorts and their operations, financing and development.
