Penn National Opens Doors to $120m Casino in Pennsylvania
Penn National has hosted the opening of its third casino in Pennsylvania, Hollywood York Casino.
Hollywood York Casino Welcomes Guests in Pennsylvania
Penn National Gaming opens doors to its $120 million Hollywood York Casino in Pennsylvania, the company’s third gaming venue in the state. State gaming officials and legislators and other honored guests were invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the event. After its opening, hundreds of people lined up to enter, and patrons were given water while they waited outside in the heat. Airville residents Chris Cubbage and Ricky Fields were the first official patrons to enter the venue.
The new venue joins Penn National’s Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course and The Meadows Casino Racetrack Hotel in PNG’s Pennsylvania stable.
Cashless, Contactless and Cardless
The new entertainment facility offers cardless, cashless and contactless payments using “mywallet” through innovative 3C technology. Players can choose from 24 table games and 510 slot machines, with more games coming soon. It is also home to the first Barstool Sportsbook in Pennsylvania.
Todd George, executive vice president of operations for Penn National, said that Penn National is grateful to its partners Everi Holdings and Acres Manufacturing for this cutting-edge technology. He also expressed gratitude to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control board for supporting this revolutionary technological advancement.
Other casinos have already embraced cashless technology. However, Hollywood York will allow gamblers to conduct “fully cashless procedures” like chip redemptions and buy-ins at gaming tables. Players won’t need to carry chips between tables and can skip trips to the cashier windows.
The technological enhancement supports Penn National’s business approach providing the best gaming experience to players both online and land-based.
Hollywood York Casino Gives Life to a Former Sears Store
Hollywood York Casino spans over 80,000 square foot floor in York Galleria Mall, giving a new life to a former Sears store, and includes gaming and entertainment venues. Its construction provided 230 jobs and now offers employment to 290 staff members.
With its unique modern design and premier gaming, as well as superb dining and entertainment facilities, the Hollywood York Casino welcomes its guests to enjoy a breathtaking gaming experience.
George said that the company is thrilled to open its 43rd property in North America. He said that it is an honor for Penn National to be welcomed by Springettsbury Township and the other surrounding communities, offering them new job opportunities and a new economic sector for York County.
In June, Penn National announced its Q1 revenue expectations of an 18% rise for the period April-June 2021, ranging between $1.45 billion and $1.55 billion.
