North Texan Scoops $2M Powerball Jackpot in Early April

Key Points
  • The man missed the grand prize of the game, but he still received enough to turn his life around

The Texas Lottery has seen another big winner earlier this month, with a man winning a $2-million prize from the Powerball drawing that took place on April 6. The person secured the ticket after making the purchase at a QuikTrip store on North Tarrant Parkway in Fort Worth

As to the winning numbers, the man won with 7, 24, 37, 42, and 57, matching five numbers for the substantial prize. He missed the Powerball number, however, 5, and thus the grand jackpot.

Thanks to the Power Play option, however, the man also doubled his original prize, which was $1 million. But big wins don’t mean that people always claim their prizes.

In fact, the state is abuzz with an $78-million ticket that is set to inspire before long, and no person has stepped forward to claim it just yet. Despite the Texas Lottery’s frequent reminders, the jackpot may be forfeited, with the winner none the wiser that they had won or unable to verify that they have won.
