Mike Cardell Joins Scientific Games as SVP, Americas Systems

The experienced executive brings a wide range of skills and expert knowledge that are expected to propel the company's growth

The leading retail and digital games supplier, technology, analytics and services provider, powering betting operators and government-sponsored lotteries across the globe, Scientific Games (SG), announced a new senior-level appointment. The company confirmed it appointed Mike Cardell for the role of senior vice president (SVP) of Americas Systems.

Joining the company, the executive brings nearly two decades of experience. Taking the role of SVP of Americas Systems at SG, Cardell is expected to help the company continue growing the reach of its lottery system business. He will oversee the existing relationships with the company’s clients while helping attract new business partners and growing lottery profits in a responsible manner.

Additionally, Cardell will play a pivotal role in SG’s business development strategies, including the execution and implementation of robust growth plans. He will use his extensive experience and provide strategic advice and guidance in a number of processes, including contract management, central and regional operations.

Back in January, SG appointed Andrew Jackson, an expert with significant experience, to the role of VP of ESG. With this appointment, the company signaled its plans to develop a number of strategic ESG initiatives, while expanding its presence across the globe.

Overall, Cardell brings more than 17 years of experience within a wide range of sectors. He is a proven leader with a track record in technology-based products and services, as well as transaction processing platforms. Throughout his experience, Cardell gained invaluable knowledge and a wide range of skills.

Before becoming a part of SG’s C-suite, he was employed by the global fintech and payments company, Fiserv. Overall, he was a part of the company for more than 11 years and held a number of important roles, including general manager of next gen solutions and vice president.
