Jersey Cash 5 Winner Buys $644K Ticket at Liquor Store

A very lucky player who purchased a Jersey Cash 5 lottery ticket for Wednesday’s drawing in Passaic County is now $644,454 richer. 

The Ticket Was Purchased in a Liquor Store in Clifton

The purchase was made at Henry’s Liquors located on Van Houten Avenue in Clifton, Passaic County. 

According to state lottery representatives, the jackpot for Thursday’s drawing rolled back to $150,000. 

The winning numbers drawn on Wednesday were 9, 30, 39, 41, and 45 while the XTRA number was 3.

The retailer that sold the lucky ticket will also be rewarded with a $2,000 bonus check for taking part in the fortunate sale. 

According to lottery officials, the win not only marks an important payout in the state lottery game that enjoys a lot of popularity among players but also brings excitement to the winner and Passaic County’s local community.

1,221,759 to 1 Odds to Hit a Jackpot

The winner, who has remained anonymous, joined the roster of recent Jersey Cash 5 winners, including a particularly lucky player who bought a ticket at the ShopRite of Belmar on the Jersey Shore on Route 35 in Wall Township. 

The ticket matched all the winning numbers (9, 19, 21, 38, and 40, the XTRA number: 5, and the Bullseye number: 40).

The odds of a $2 ticket matching all five numbers ranging from 1 to 45 are 1,221,759 to 1.

Back in March, another Jersey Cash 5 jackpot worth an equally impressive $1,108,388 million was split by two winning tickets that were sold at supermarkets.

The two tickets were sold at ShopRite on Prospect Avenue in West Orange and Stop & Shop located at the corner of Route 35 South and Twin Brook Road in Middletown.

Each of the two winners received $554,194 after guessing the drawn numbers (8, 22, 25, 33, and 35, along with the XTRA number: 2).

The jackpot went over the $1 million mark after eight consecutive drawings that didn’t generate any top prize winners.

At the end of June, another NJ lottery player scooped up $294,065 from a Jersey Cash 5 Ticket purchased in Gloucester County.

Sunday’s winning numbers are 18, 20, 21, 24, and 26 with the XTRA number: 2 while the estimated jackpot is worth $661,000 with a winner still to be announced at the time of this writing.
