Hawk Tuah Girl Pens Podcast Deal with Betr Media

Under the new agreement, Welch’s Talk Tuah weekly podcast will become a part of the Betr Media unit

Haliey Welch, also known as Hawk Tuah Girl thanks to a viral meme, has formed a major new podcast alliance with Betr, a micro-betting and sports media company founded by Joey Levy and Jake Paul.

Betr Teamed Up with Welch

Under the new agreement, Welch’s Talk Tuah weekly podcast will become a part of the Betr Media unit. The podcast will feature Welch herself and will debut on September 10.

Betr and Welch didn’t disclose the financial terms of their partnership. They also didn’t confirm how involved Welch will be in betting discussions. However, the young woman’s interest in the gaming and betting sector is clear, considering that she recently filed a betting trademark for “Bet On That Thang” – a reference to the viral meme that skyrocketed her to popularity.

In any case, the agreement with Welch is in line with Betr Media’s tendency to seek out less mainstream celebrities to partner with and capitalize on online trends. This strategy has proven to be very successful, solidifying Betr’s leadership when it comes to media and micro-betting.

For Welch, on the other hand, this would be yet another opportunity to shine. Speaking about Talk Tuah, she explained that the podcast will “have a little of everything.” According to her, this would include great guests, humor, chit-chats, relationship pointers, sports opinions and, she added, “some Southern charm.”

The New Face of the Internet

Welch became a celebrity practically overnight thanks to the Hawk Tuah meme which she accidentally coined during a vox pop interview. When asked how men can be best pleased in bed, she humorously referenced oral love, which instantly went viral.

Since then, Welch has been going from strength to strength, partnering with many famous celebrities. The meme has been referenced by stars and sports announcers, cementing the Tennessee woman as a part of modern culture.

Welch seems to recognize the lucrative nature of the gaming and betting sector and has shown interest in being a part of it. She agreed to participate in the Celebrity Poker Tour alongside stars, such as Howard, JaVale McGee, Kendrick Perkins and Mario Chalmers, among others.

However, some did not welcome her participation in the event. Poker writer Barry Carter said that poker is where “celebrities go to die,” arguing that this must mean that Welch’s fame is running out.

With Talk Tuah set to further engrain Welch into pop culture, however, the Hawk Tuah Girl may be here to stay.
