DraftKings Enters Ontario as 12th Licensed Gambling Operator
DraftKings took its sweet time, but it’s finally out on the market in Ontario. This means that locals can join the sports betting platform and pick from a range of events that are duly covered by DraftKings Sportsbook. These include the National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, and Major League Soccer.
Sportsbook and Casino Products by DraftKings
The website comes with a multi-vertical offer that covers both online games and sports betting options. There are currently more than 130 dedicated iGaming products available at DraftKings Casino, including slots, baccarat, roulette, and blackjack. DraftKings admittedly enters the market on a rather delayed schedule.
Ontario launched the private online gambling market back on April 4, but it took the company a while to get its own business setup. In fact, DraftKings is the 37th gambling entity to enter the state. The list includes many other prominent names operating as B2B suppliers, white label providers, and established gambling brands.
Entain, FanDuel, BetMGM, Bet Rivers, SkillOnNet, and numerous others already have boots on the grounds and have been running strong. FanDuel is one of the top winners in the state as well. DraftKings is the 12th gambling operator that has received a two-year license, though. Commenting on this opportunity, DraftKings co-founder, chairman, and executive Jason Robins said:
“DraftKings’ entry into Canada with our online sportsbook and online casino products is a significant milestone in our expansion efforts as we reach nearly 40-percent of Canada’s total population.”

Robins argued that DraftKings will remain committed to Ontario and bring its full portfolio of products to introduce fans to an excellent gaming experience that comes with the best responsible gambling practices.
