Kambi to Power Canada’s Multi-Province Sportsbook Solution

Kambi said that its selection as the provider of sportsbook solutions in seven provinces is a “strong endorsement” of its technology, expertise, and track record

Kambi, a leading provider of sports betting solutions, announced that it has been selected as the official sportsbook supplier of a national sports betting solution in Canada.

Kambi to Power State Sportsbooks in Seven Provinces

According to Kambi’s announcement, it has been selected by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC) and British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) as the sportsbook technology and services supplier for a new multi-province sportsbook solution in the country. As such, it will provide sports betting technology to sportsbooks in seven of Canada’s ten provinces.

For context, the ALC operates government-regulated sports betting in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador. The BCLC, on the other hand, operates sports betting in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

The selection of Kambi as the supplier of this initiative comes in the wake of a joint Request for Proposal (RFP) led by the ALC. The RFP sought to name a single supplier able to support lottery operators in multiple states. The ALC sought a supplier able to leverage a scalable and high-performance platform to deliver consistent player experiences – criteria that Kambi fits.

As a result, Kambi will use its multi-channel Turnkey Sportsbook solution to align provincial gambling corporations around a “shared sportsbook technology and trading foundation, delivered by each operator within their respective jurisdictions.“ The company’s sportsbook product provides a fully managed solution that combines cutting-edge technology, premium trading capabilities, and robust risk management solutions.

Kambi’s platform is furthermore designed to operate both across digital and land-based segments, while remaining compliant with local laws.

Kambi Says Offering Its Solutions in Seven Provinces Is an Honor

Werner Becher, Kambi’s chief executive officer, commented on this important milestone for his team. According to him, the selection of Kambi as the provider of sportsbook solutions in seven provinces is a “strong endorsement” of Kambi’s technology, expertise, and track record.

ALC and BCLC have set out a clear vision for a single, consistent sportsbook and we are proud to support its next phase with our high-performance, compliant and proven Turnkey Sportsbook.

Scott Eagles, the Atlantic Lottery’s director of sports betting, said that the tie-up with Kambi was a key step in aligning provincial lotteries and ensuring they can deliver a consistent, high-quality sports betting experience to their players.

Kambi’s proven sportsbook technology, deep experience supporting lottery and state-owned operators, and ability to deliver across both digital and retail channels made them a strong partner to support our shared objectives and the long-term future of sports betting for Canadians.
