Casumo Appoints Gary Thompson as Head of Casino

The award-winning online gaming group headquartered in Malta, Casumo, strengthened its senior-level team with the addition of Gary Thompson, an expert within the gambling industry with more than three decades of experience. Joining the company, he was appointed to the role of head of casino.

As a part of Casumo’s C-suite, Thompson, who is a former William Hill and Lottoland executive, brings a range of skills and knowledge. Being a part of the company’s senior team, he is expected to offer strategic guidance and expert advice, making him a perfect fit for the head of casino role.

In a statement, Thompson shared his excitement by saying: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Casino at Casumo!” Additionally, Casumo’s new head of casino pointed out: “Thank you to all my connections that have reached out over the last few months.”

The Seasoned Executive Brings a Wealth of Experience

Thompson first joined the gambling sector in the UK back in 1989 after he ended his military service. Since then, he has been able to accumulate significant knowledge and experience within the vertical. He was involved in a wide range of operations, allowing him to gain unique skills after being part of globally recognizable gambling companies.

Throughout his extensive career, he was a part of the leading betting and gaming company with a strong focus on Europe, Gala Coral Group. For nearly two years until April 2013, he was a part of the company where he served as casino pit boss and was involved in strategic processes such as talent and business relationship management, communication and others.

Between April 2013 and December 2014, Thompson was a part of William Hill, the leading betting and gaming operator. While a part of William Hill, he held different roles, including customer service representative and online live casino executive.

For one year and two months until June 2018, Thompson was a part of Platin Gaming Ltd., a developer of iGaming and betting software. During his tenure, he held the role of casino and live casino product manager, a position that put him in charge of the marketing and operations of different brands.

More recently, Thompson was a part of Lottoland for more than three years until March 2022. At the time, he held the role of gaming commercial manager. His professional background includes a senior account manager role with Relax Gaming, the leading iGaming content provider.
