ACR Poker Unveils the Eighth Edition of its Venom PKO Tournament
Buy-ins for the eight edition of the event cost $2,650 but players can also qualify for far less through one of the multiple Venom Fever satellite tournaments

ACR Poker unveiled the return of its $5 Million GTD Venom PKO tournament. According to the company, the event will allow players whose New Year’s Resolution was to win a lot of money to fulfill their goals.
The event will start on Thursday, January 18 and will run through January 31. It is the biggest Progressive Knockout tourney in professional online poker. Previous editions have seen players take part in some of the biggest hands of their lives. Sometimes single bounties can reach tens of thousands of dollars.
The previous Venom PKO event was in October when the winner took home $371,000 plus an additional $312,000 in bounty money.
Buy-ins for the eighth edition of the event cost $2,650 but players can also qualify for far less through one of the multiple Venom Fever satellite tournaments. The satellites are guaranteeing a total of 650 seats, ACR Poker announced, adding that buy-ins for some of these events begin at $33. There will also be Mega Satellites that start at $0 by following the daily path, the company noted. Additional ways to qualify include Step Tournaments which start at 11 cents.
Moneymaker Praised the Event’s Arrival
ACR Pro Chris Moneymaker commented on the upcoming tournament, praising its arrival.
Our Venom PKO is well known as the biggest Progressive Knockout tourney in online poker. It has beaten its $5 Million guarantee in all seven previous editions, and we expect it to happen again.
ACR Pro Chris Moneymaker
Moneymaker also teased that the fan-favorite Venom Hold’em tournament, which typically comes with a $10 million guarantee, is set to return very soon.
