Cash 5 Ticket Worth $400K Needs to Be Redeemed by April 3

Key Points
  • Whoever won has only days to redeem the prize of a lifetime, but odds are they have lost the ticket or are none the wiser about the win

Almost a year has passed since someone won a Cash 5 with a Quick Cash ticket and has failed to step forward and claim the $400,000 prize.

$400K On the Line, but No Player Can Muster the Right Ticket

The win occurred back on April 3, 2025, and the ticket managed to match the numbers at the time: 3, 10, 12, 30, and 37. The Pennsylvania Lottery has issued a fresh reminder that a failure to scoop the prize by April 3, 2026, would result in the forfeiture of the award.

The lottery also reminded that whoever won the ticket bought it at the Super Mini Mart at 1165 Freedom Rd in Cranberry Township, Butler County, and the odds of winning are pretty slim – one in 962,598.

Yet, someone did win, and they did so by purchasing a single $2 ticket. If that person fails to turn up by the deadline on Friday, they will effectively forfeit a life-changing amount.

Normally, a ticket would be forfeited after between three and six months, but the Pennsylvania Lottery has been one of the historically more generous ones, offering players larger stretches of time to scoop their winnings.

Most winners, however, tend to be rather quick when claiming their rewards and usually take only a few days or weeks at most. The fact that no person has so far stepped forward strongly suggests that the winner never realized they had won.

Regardless, the lottery will wait out the allocated period before it forfeits the reward.
