Caesars Appoints Ken Ostempowski to Lead Three Major Las Vegas Strip Casinos

Ostempowski, who has been overseeing The ROW Reno, a collection of three casinos in Northern Nevada managed by Caesars, is set to begin his new position on September 17

Caesars Entertainment announced Ken Ostempowski will now lead three major casinos on the Las Vegas Strip: Paris Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, and Horseshoe Las Vegas. He’s stepping in as the senior vice president and general manager. This change happened because Jason Gregorec, who used to run things left to join Delaware North’s gaming division.

Ostempowski to Lead Paris, Planet Hollywood, and Horseshoe

Ostempowski, who has been in charge of The ROW Reno, a group of three casinos in Northern Nevada under Caesars’ control, will start his new job on September 17, reported The Las Vegas Review-Journal. His career covers several major gambling markets, including Las Vegas, the Gulf Coast, the Midwest, and Colorado. He brings a wealth of leadership know-how to his new position on the Strip.

Anthony Carano president and chief operating officer of Caesars Entertainment, feels good about choosing Ostempowski. He said Ostempowski’s wins in Reno and across the US make him a great fit to push Paris, Planet Hollywood, and Horseshoe to do better on the Las Vegas Strip. Carano pointed out that Ostempowski’s background puts him in a good spot to boost growth and bring new ideas to these well-known properties.

Ostempowski takes over after Gregorec leaves to become president of Delaware North’s gaming division. Delaware North based in Buffalo, New York, runs gaming facilities in eight states. Gregorec’s move continues his long career in the gaming industry where he has worked for more than 30 years.

Former Caesars Entertainment Exec Takes Over Delaware North’s Gaming Division

Amy Latimer, COO and executive vice president of Delaware North, praised the choice of Gregorec. She pointed out his deep industry knowledge noting his more than 30 years of experience, which she thinks will help their operations. Latimer also said Gregorec will work with Brian Hansberry, the outgoing president who has over 40 years of high-level leadership experience in gaming. The two are expected to look into new ways to grow the company’s gaming businesses.

In his new role, Gregorec will focus on diversifying revenue streams and driving business growth through technological innovations. He succeeds Hansberry, who has transitioned to group president of gaming, overseeing strategy and partnerships.

With Ostempowski taking charge of three major casinos in Las Vegas, and Gregorec moving to Delaware North’s growing gaming business, both leaders are ready for fresh challenges in their new jobs. This points to a big change in who is running things in the casino world.
