Alec Thomson, executive director of the Arizona Lottery, felt thrilled about the win. He pointed out that digital platforms like Jackpocket have an influence on modernizing lottery participation while still backing the state’s network of over 3,500 physical retailers. Thomson also stressed the wider benefits of lottery earnings, which fund key programs and services across Arizona communities.

The Arizona Lottery has confirmed that someone bought the winning ticket through Jackpocket’s team-up with a local store in Tempe.
