AGCO Issues Certificate of Registration to Soft2Bet
The company’s chief business development officer said that the new certification is “another significant and important step” in Soft2Bet’s plans to expand its reach
Soft2Bet, a leading operator and provider of iGaming and online sports betting solutions, announced that it has secured a Certificate of Registration in the Canadian province of Ontario. This achievement marks a step toward the launch of the company’s Tooniebet.com online casino brand in the region.
The certificate, provided to Soft2Bet by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) will allow the company to launch its content in yet another regulated jurisdiction. Entering Canada’s largest province is no small feat, especially considering the popularity of online gaming in the province.
Ontario’s regulations ushered in an era of iGaming in 2022. The province quickly attracted many operators as the demand for online betting and casino gaming continued growing. According to the province’s latest figures, the betting handle continues to grow and so do the gaming revenues. For reference, Ontario’s operators recorded a record-breaking GGR of CAD 658 million in Q4 2023.
The launch in Ontario aligns with Soft2Bet’s active efforts to grow its geographical footprint and reach more players with its content. The company, which recently published its FY 2023 results, is currently exploring opportunities for a license in New Jersey and overall expansion in the Americas.
Soft2Bet Desires to Expand Its Footprint
Soft2Bet’s head of regulatory compliance, Elisabeth Isaksson, released a statement on the matter, expressing her excitement about the new license. She said that the company is thrilled about its first steps in the North American market and is hoping to secure more market entries.
The foray into Ontario, Isaksson said, demonstrates the company’s robust compliance-related work.
Being registered with the AGCO in Ontario is a testament to the work our compliance and regulatory teams are doing daily to enable our continued expansion in the world’s largest regulated markets.

In the meantime, Martin Collins, the company’s chief business development officer, said that the new certification is “another significant and important step” in Soft2Bet’s plans to expand its reach. He said that the license reflects the company’s desire to conquer new markets.
It fits perfectly with our stated aim of growing our regulatory footprint and we very much look forward to continuing forward on this path.
Martin Collins, chief business development officer, Soft2Bet
Speaking of geographical expansion, last year, the company continued its European push, launching content in Italy.
