Revamped Washington Commanders Hoping for Another Win

In the first game with Dan Quinn as their manager, the Washinton Commanders lost 37:20 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, in week 2, they got themselves a 21:18 win over the New York Giants.

It wasn’t an impressive win, but some of their players did show they can take this team to the next level. Washington’s rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels threw 23-for-29 for 226 yards, with no interceptions. Unfortunately for him, none of his passes resulted in a touchdown, but at least he helped placekicker Austin Seibert score each of the seven field goals for the Commanders.

Washington’s defense did a very good job as well, which is no surprise given that Booby Wagner and Frankie Luvu are there. The Commanders did a great job at stopping the Jets’ offense, but can they do the same to the Cincinnati Bengals, whose offense is one of the best in the league?

Cincinnati Bengals Need to Up Their Offensive Game

The Cincinnati Bengals are 0-2, but this only makes them eager to start winning. They really embarrassed themselves in Week 1 against the New England Patriots at home. They lost the game 16-10, with their superstar quarterback Joe Burrow throwing for zero TDs.

He did much better in Week 2, but his output wasn’t enough to beat the Kansas City Chiefs. But then again, losing to the winners of the last two Super Bowls isn’t too big a deal, especially not given that the Bengals lost by just one point – the final score was 26:25 for the Chiefs.

Burrow went 23-for-36 in that game, throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns, with no interceptions. Both of his TD passes were caught by Cincy’s second-year wide receiver Andrei Iosivas.

Born in Japan to a Filipino mother and Romanian father, the WR seems to be having the season of his life. The best thing is that he’s just one of many elite receivers Burrow has at his disposal. Others include Ja’Marr Chase and Jermaine Burton, and there’s also tight end Mike Gesicki.

Washington Commanders vs. Cincinnati Bengals Prediction

The Cincinnati Bengals need to take this game seriously and our prediction is that they will. Last weekend, Burrow showed just how good he is, and we think he’s going to do something similar this time around. We also expect a lot from Cincinnati’s receiving department, so we should see plenty of TDs. By “plenty” we mean enough to help the Bengals cover the spread.

Pick: Cincinnati Bengals -7.5
