VSiN, a top sports betting network, is coming back to SiriusXM after a long wait. From January 17, 2025, VSiN will start a new 24/7 sports betting channel on SiriusXM channel 158. Listeners across North America can tune in through their car radios or the SiriusXM app. This comeback is a big deal for VSiN, as it gets back on the satellite platform after being away for more than four years.
VSiN Returns to SiriusXM with Dedicated Channel and Exclusive Betting Show Collaboration
Brian Musburger, VSiN’s President, highlighted how this partnership fits into the network’s plans to expand. He called it a key move to help VSiN grow. By using SiriusXM’s wide audience, VSiN wants to become the top sports betting network in the US. The channel plans to offer expert views, inside information from the industry, and betting advice from big names in the field. This meets the rising need for content about sports betting.
The teamwork goes further than just the special channel. On January 6, VSiN and SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio started a new show, VSiN Live on Mad Dog Sports Radio. It airs weeknights from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET, with Patrick Meagher and Dustin Swedelson as hosts. The show gives listeners real-time sports talks and betting info while games are happening. Steve Cohen, Executive Vice President of Talent and Programming at VSiN, pointed out how special this joint effort is. He said he is thrilled to bring engaging content to people across the country.
VSiN Rejoins SiriusXM After Buyback from DraftKings, Signaling Independent Growth Push
VSiN first appeared on SiriusXM in 2017 but left during the COVID-19 crisis. Its comeback lines up with a boost in its activities, including buying itself back from DraftKings in mid-2024. DraftKings bought VSiN in 2021 to beef up its content offerings, but the network’s original founders took it back last year. This move points to a fresh push for standalone growth.
The need for sports betting content has grown a lot in recent years. This growth has an impact on the legalization of sports betting in almost 40 states since 2018. Eric Spitz, SiriusXM’s Vice President of Sports Programming, gave VSiN credit for leading the industry. He also felt sure that this partnership would be good for SiriusXM subscribers.
VSiN keeps providing content through many platforms, not just SiriusXM. These include streaming services regular radio stations, and its mobile app. VSiN has its main office in the Circa Resort and Casino sportsbook in Las Vegas. This puts it right in the middle of the sports betting world. From there, it is ready to captivate and inform more and more betting fans.
