TheLotter Tells US Players to Be Wary of Rampant Phishing Scams
TheLotter asked US lottery players to watch out for common red flags, such as fake email addresses, suspicious links, personal data requests, irregular payment demands or unsecured connection

TheLotter US, a trusted online lottery courier service with over two decades of industry experience, has asked American players to be wary of rampant online scams. According to the company, impersonators have been contacting players, telling them that they have won a lottery prize, only to steal their personal info.
Players Should Watch Out for Red Flags
According to TheLotter, the growth of online lottery courier services has given rise to phishing scammers who target existing players and unsuspecting Americans alike. Because of that, the service asked players to remain vigilant and reminded everyone that they cannot win a prize for contests they have not entered.
TheLotter Group’s fraud and security team identified multiple fraudulent websites pretending to be the courier service. Two of the biggest such domains, namely https://fast-lotter.com/ and https://thelotterlab.com/, have since been taken down. However, the group noted that other fake platforms may pop up eventually.
The company noted that illicit websites often have telltale signs they are not the real thing. Among other things, scam websites often sport low-quality imagery, non-functional features, empty links and poorly written texts.
In addition, scam websites tend to ask for sensitive information, such as banking data, without requiring any account verification.
TheLotter Remains Committed to Educating Consumers
TheLotter asked US lottery players to watch out for common red flags, such as fake email addresses, suspicious links, personal data requests, irregular payment demands or unsecured connection. It also asked players to not ignore fraud and report any suspicious activity they spot to the authorities.
Yael Hertz, TheLotter Group’s chief executive officer, emphasized his team’s commitment to upholding a high level of security and protecting players from online risks. However, the customers themselves should remain vigilant against phishing scams that seek to steal their personal data and credit card details.
Hertz noted that his team is concerned about the harm such scams can have significant impact on the reputation of companies, which is why his team is working hard to raise awareness among its customers.
We encourage customers to log into their accounts directly if they ever receive a winning notification and to never respond to unsolicited requests for personal information. Staying informed about scams is key to protecting yourself online.
Yael Hertz, CEO, TheLotter Group
TheLotter concluded that clients who are uncertain about the legitimacy of something should contact the company’s customer service.
TheLotter’s Growth Journey Continues
In the meantime, TheLotter continues to expand its global footprint, providing even more customers with an easy way to buy lottery tickets. Last summer, TheLotter US made a foray into Florida just in time for the state’s National Lottery Week.
Back then, Hertz emphasized that convenience, security, and trust were the core pillars of TheLotter’s ethos.
The ticket purchasing service has proven to resonate with players in multiple markets thanks to the convenience and reliability it offers.
