The Athletics to Offer Priority Access for 2028 LV Season Tickets
In exchange for a $19.01 fee, the A's fans and baseball aficionados alike would be able to secure priority access for the team's 2028 Las Vegas season tickets

The popular Major League Baseball (MLB) team that plans to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada, the Athletics, formerly known as the Oakland Athletics, announced Monday they will be selling priority access to season tickets.
Priority Access to 2028 A’s Las Vegas Season Tickets Costs $19.01
The announcement comes ahead of the team’s first game against the Chicago Cubs, which is planned to take place on March 31, 2025. While the game against the Cubs will take place at the A’s temporary home stadium at Sutter Health Field, the priority access to season tickets is for the team’s 2028 season, which the team hopes would be their debut at the newly built ballpark on the Las Vegas Strip.
To join the priority list to purchase tickets at the new ballpark, which is set to use the site of the Tropicana in Sin City, baseball fans and aficionados alike need to pay a fee of $19.01. Priority for the A’s Las Vegas season tickets will have existing season ticket members, as well as season ticket holders for the Las Vegas Aviators minor league club. Residents of Clark County, Nevada, will also have priority for the A’s Las Vegas season tickets before they become available publicly.
The priority access fee of $19.01 hints to the year the famous baseball team was founded, 1901. Back then, the team was known as the Philadelphia Athletics. Decades later, in 1955, they changed their name to the Kansas City Athletics, while more than 10 years later, the team changed their name to the Oakland Athletics.
The team will play at Sutter Health Park for the next three seasons and as of the 2025 season, drop Oakland from its name. In other words, instead of the Oakland Athletics, the popular team will be known as the A’s or the Athletics and their box score name would be “ATH.”
The Site Formerly Used by the Tropicana Will Be the A’s New Home Stadium
Early last month, the A’s filed a permit for future stadium development. Thanks to the filing of a land use permit, the process that would see the development of the team’s new stadium hit an important milestone.
It was back in October when the Tropicana was demolished, clearing the path for the development of the new ballpark that the A’s will call home. Besides the new stadium, that is expected to have 33,000 seats, the project would include a luxury hotel and casino resort by Bally’s Corporation.
The development, which is expected to take 35 acres, has the mind-blowing price tag of nearly $2 billion. Out of the 35 acres, approximately 9 acres would be used for the ballpark alone. Undoubtedly, the new stadium, hotel and casino are going to attract even more fans of baseball and the A’s alike to Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps.
