Station Casinos to Enhance Durango with New Garage and Gaming Area

Red Rock Resorts, Station Casinos and Durango’s parent company, is bullish on making the most out of the lucrative Vegas market and tapping into the growing demand for gambling

Station Casinos is already planning to expand its Durango Casino & Resort Property just a few months after its opening. Located in the southwestern part of the Las Vegas Valley, the property is now set to receive a bigger parking lot and a new gaming area.

Station Casinos’ plan is to significantly expand the property’s parking capacity by building a new parking garage. The new facility would be located in the southeast section of the existing parking lot, just north of Maule Avenue.

According to Station Casino’s agenda item, filed for the Clark County Zoning Commission’s upcoming meeting on July 3, the new garage would have a basement level, ground level, five floors and rooftop parking. In total, it would be able to accommodate some 2,500 vehicles.

As per Station Casino’s plans, the new ground level would provide valet pick-up and drop-off.

A New Gaming Area Is Also on the Agenda

In addition to the new parking lot, Station Casino’s agenda item also outlines the construction of a brand-new casino area. The new gaming facility would be located northwest of the aforementioned garage and would include a restaurant.

In addition to gaming and dining, the new facility would include an outdoor patio area and a water feature wall. However, Station Casino did not submit 3D renderings of its planned facilities.

Station Casinos is optimistic about the Durango. The property opened in December and has been making quick strides. The new parking and gaming area seek to further fuel this growth and capitalize on the casino’s potential.

In May, the company published its Q1 results, marking a stellar start to the year. The company’s metrics increased across the board, spelling a strong business momentum.

As for the Durango, the property’s freshly introduced Dragon Link Major Progressive machine hit for $25,449. This came a few hours after the venue hit the high limit room floor, along with a payout of $15,166.27 on a $9 bet on the Triple Jackpot Gem.
