PokerStars and FoxBet Launch Their Services in Michigan

PokerStars became the first online poker operator to launch its services in Michigan. Together with PokerStars, FOX Bet Sportsbook and the Stars Casino also received approval to operate by the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
PokerStars Launches Its Services in Michigan
The online poker cardroom owned by The Stars Group, PokerStars announced that it launched its online poker room in Michigan yesterday. The launch made PokerStars the first online poker operator to offer its services in the Wolverine State. Furthermore, Michigan residents can now wager on sporting events via FOX Bet Sportsbook and enjoy casino games at the Stars Casino.
With its Michigan entry, by now, PokerStars has launched its services in three states. Back in 2019, PokerStars launched its services in Pennsylvania, while in 2016 it entered New Jersey. The launch was possible after the Michigan Gaming Control Board gave the green light on Friday this week.

One Registration Lets Players Access Three Platforms
Visiting the Stars Casino, players from Michigan can enjoy a variety of slots – developed in-house as well as other popular titles. Furthermore, players can also play roulette, blackjack, and other casino games. On the other hand, sports fans that would like to participate in live and future betting action on American and international sports can access the FOX Bet Sportsbook.
The free-to-play app FOX Bet Super 6 is also available for residents of Michigan. The app launched nationwide back in September 2019. Since its launch, it has offered players in all U.S. states, except for Washington, to make predictions for upcoming games with a chance to win cash prizes.
“The key differentiators for us have always been our valued partnership with the FOX Corporation and the strength of our industry leading FOX Bet Super 6 product combined with the PokerStars business and we plan to lean into these unique assets as we launch in Michigan.”
Kip Levin, FOX Bet CEO
In a statement, FOX Bet’s CEO, Kip Levin said that by creating one account, players in Michigan can access all three platforms – FOX Bet Sportsbook, PokerStars, and The Stars Casino. Furthermore, players can also expect entertaining options that supercharge the experience, concluded Mr. Levin.
After the launch of the sports betting market in Michigan on January 22, so far there were 10 approved sportsbooks. FoxBet became the 11th online sportsbook that received approval from the regulator.
