Playtech Launches Live Studio On-site at Swiss Casinos in Zurich

Playtech is opening a new live casino studio in Zurich, Switzerland, as the company seeks to expand its European footprint and boost its holdings in key markets. The studio is hosted out of the Swiss Casinos property in the same city, and it will be a second-of-its-kind operation for Playtech in Europe.

Playtech and Swiss Casinos have been partners since 2019, when the live dealer content supplier launched on the Swiss market. A year later, Playtech brought its dedicated iPoker Network, consolidating its share in one of Europe’s most prosperous gaming markets. The iPoker launch was introduced through the same alliance with Swiss Casinos.

Even though Switzerland has tight control over what happens and who operates in the country – with a national referendum prohibiting international brands – the industry has been doing well.

The overall industry prospects have attracted Playtech, among other leading suppliers. Swiss players now have access to Playtech’s live tables via the Swiss Casinos’ online platform. Native speakers are used in the live studio to ensure that locals are able to engage with the products in the best possible way.

Executives Welcome the New Collaboration

Swiss Casinos online director Patrick Mastai has welcomed the opportunity to further strengthen Playtech and the company’s collaboration. The establishment of an on-site casino raises the industry standards, argues Mastai:

The news was equally welcomed by Margarita Terlanova at Playtech Live, who is responsible for customer relations. According to Terlanova, the collaboration will result in a better consumer experience. She similarly commended Swiss Casinos on the brand’s reputation and its track record in Switzerland:
