New York Jets vs. San Francisco 49ers Week 1 Odds, Time, and Prediction
New York Jets vs. San Francisco 49ers is the first Monday Night Football game of the 2024 NFL season. It’s scheduled for September 9, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California

The Jets vs. 49ers Week 1 game will make the return of Aaron Rodgers after a one-year absence. As a reminder, the legendary quarterback injured himself on his debut with the New York Jets. With their key man suffering a season-ending season, the Jets obviously couldn’t do much in 2023.
However, in 2024, their ambitions are much higher. But are they as high as to think they can beat the NFC Champions, the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1’s MNF Game?

Can Aaron Rodgers Lead the Jets to a Win in the MNF Game?
Aaron Rodgers is turning 41 in a few months’ time and he’s coming off a serious injury that kept him off the field for the entire 2023 season. Despite all that, he remains one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
He’s crucial to the New York Jets’ success in 2024 and we expect him to make an instant impact upon his return. The Jets have plenty of good players on the offensive team who are meant to get the most out of him. That said, Rodgers & Co. should have no problems scoring a couple of touchdowns on Monday night.
It’s the Jets’ defense that doesn’t look great. They’re not bad, don’t get us wrong, but we suspect they can do much against such an offensive powerhouse as the San Francisco 49ers. That said, we predict that the Jets vs. Niners MNF game will be won by the team that does better offensively.
Can the Niners Take it a Step Further This Season?
The San Francisco 49ers came very close to winning the Lombardi Trophy last season, but the Kansas City Chiefs beat them in overtime. They were unlucky to lose that game, and they can be proud of the performance of some of their key men.
Quarterback Brock Purdy was okay in that game as he was throughout last season. The same goes for running back Christian McCaffrey, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, and others.
All of these guys are still on the roster. In fact, the team of players that won the NFC Championship last season is pretty much the same. So, it’s only logical to expect more of the same from these guys in 2024.
But they don’t want the same, they want more. They want to win the Super Bowl this season and bookies think they might do it. A good check-up on their abilities comes in the form of the Jets vs. 49ers game on Monday. If they win this game stress-free, they have every right to feel ambitious.
New York Jets vs. San Francisco 49ers Prediction
Our prediction is that the first MNF game of the season is going to be a game to remember. Rodgers will probably put on a good show, helping his team score at least a couple of TDs. Unfortunately for him, we don’t think that’s gonna be enough. The Niners are so good offensively that they should have no problems outscoring the Jets no matter what kind of QB sorcery Rodgers produces.
Pick: San Francisco 49ers

Rodgers will have to throw every pass within three seconds and since he can’t run, he’ll have no place to hide. I will be surprised if he finishes the game.
