Light & Wonder Releases Highly Anticipated Squid Game Slot

Light & Wonder announced the launch of an immersive Squid Game-themed slot game. Unlike the Squid Game cabinet the company previously showcased, the new game, SQUID GAME: ONE LUCKY DAY, will be a fully digital slot.

The game will hit the market today and will, for two weeks, be exclusively available to Bally’s Interactive customers in the United Kingdom and Europe. Following that, the game will become widely available to Light & Wonder’s clients.

After the conclusion of the exclusive period, companies will be able to add the new slot to their offerings through Light & Wonder’s content aggregation platform.

SQUID GAME: ONE LUCKY DAY is an engaging 5×4 slot that features 40 paylines and three separate bonus rounds. Fans of the hit Netflix show should prepare for a variety of references to the series.

One of three bonus rounds will be triggered at random when players collect three Bonus symbols.

The first of the bonus rounds is themed after the Red Light Green Light game and will allow players to choose to move up to four steps forward in an attempt to reach the finish line and trigger the Jackpot Picker Bonus. The more steps they take, the higher the multiplier.

However, as players take more steps, the risk of getting caught by the notorious red-eyed doll also increases. Too pushy players risk detection, which would spell the end of the bonus round.

The second bonus game is inspired by the Glass Bridge game and will have players select whether to move left or right as they cross a dangerous bridge. Each successful pick provides extra free spins, wild upgrades, symbol removal and multipliers. However, falling through one of the glass panels would end the bonus and start the free spins round.

Finally, the Tug of War bonus round will award free spins with at least 1 wild reel always present on the screen. With each spin, the competing team would pull the wild reel left or right which can result in up to 4 wild reels on screen. Once a team loses, additional wilds are added from the losing side to the final spin.
