Kambi Partners with Stake to Drive Sports Betting Expansion
Emerging markets such as Brazil create lucrative opportunities for Kambi to bolster its global reach by leveraging its leading products like the Turnkey Sportsbook solution
Sports betting solutions provider Kambi Group plc announced a strategic partnership with rapidly growing global operator Stake, which is seeking to expand its reach into regulated markets. The collaboration debuted with the launch of Stake’s Kambi-powered sportsbook in Brazil as the country’s modernized gambling jurisdiction made it one of the world’s most anticipated sports betting markets.
Stake Will Fully Leverage Kambi’s Expertise
With its significant sports-loving population and an emerging gambling market, Brazil was a natural choice for Stake’s initial push with Kambi. The operator was optimistic that this newest collaboration would lead to further growth worldwide, leveraging Kambi’s advanced technology and compliance expertise in complex regulatory environments through its Turnkey Sportsbook solution.
Stake is part of the Easygo group and among the top 20 in the EGR Power 50 list. Easygo chief strategy officer Brais Pena Sanchez noted that the Brazil launch signified a major milestone for the company and was excited to collaborate with Kambi on future projects, aligning with Stake’s plans for further expansion into the global regulated market.
Our experience in the region, paired with Kambi’s cutting-edge technology, will allow us to elevate our offering and provide our customers with exciting experiences in Brazil and beyond.
Brais Pena Sanchez, Easygo chief strategy officer
Stake maintains a significant interest in Latin America. In November, the operator announced its plans to acquire Betfair Colombia, paving its entry into the Colombian market. This move allows Stake to establish a new foothold in Latin America and capitalize on Betfair’s popularity to channel local players toward its products. Further regional experience will also be invaluable for the company’s Brazil launch.
Brazil Presents Unique Opportunities
Kambi’s solutions are designed to help operators like Stake thrive in competitive and heavily regulated markets. This partnership will put the supplier’s turnkey solutions to the test in a new and challenging jurisdiction. Brazil’s sports betting market opened on 1 January 2025, attracting substantial interest from some of the gambling industry’s most high-profile companies.
Collaborating with Stake should further bolster Kambi’s prospects in 2024 and beyond. The supplier recorded a €7.9 million ($8.15 million) year-on-year increase in Q3 revenue, reaching €43.0 million ($46.3 million). Kambi Group CEO Werner Becher underlined the company’s proven track record in helping operators achieve their operational goals, expressing optimism for the newest joint venture in Brazil.
Kambi’s advanced and compliant technology enables operators to offer a leading sportsbook product. I’m excited to see what Kambi and Stake can achieve together in Brazil and other regulated markets.
Werner Becher, Kambi Group CEO
Stake’s established expertise in customer engagement and Kambi’s state-of-the-art sportsbook technology create a potent combination poised to reshape the sports betting experience in Brazil. As the country’s regulatory framework takes full effect in 2025, this collaboration could serve as a positive example for future collaborations in emerging gambling jurisdictions.
