Inspired Entertainment Secures Rights to Develop NHL-Themed Virtual Sports Game
The NHL-themed product Inspired is working on is poised to appeal to players in North America, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe alike

Inspired Entertainment, a leading B2B provider of technology and services to the gaming industry, has unveiled a major licensing partnership with the National Hockey League. Thanks to that, the company has secured rights to develop a new virtual sports game featuring the league’s logo and NHL club imagery.
Inspired Entertainment Grows Its American Sports Portfolio
According to Inspired Entetainment’s announcement, the licensing agreement will provide Inspired with rights to develop interactive, fixed odds Virtual Sports games brandishing the NHL logo and club imagery.
The deal expands the company’s portfolio of relationships with major sports leagues, further cementing it as a leading B2B company. Notably, the latest agreement will complete Inspired Entertainment’s North American suite of premier sports licenses.
The NHL brand assets will allow Inspired to produce a virtual sports hockey game that is tailored to NHL fans’ tastes. The company will leverage the new rights to produce a new game that leverages the “most advanced motion capture technology Inspired has ever implemented” to create a realistic and immersive experience.
The new product, for context, is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The Deal Will Redefine Sports Entertainment
Inspired Entertainment’s president and chief executive officer, Brooks Pierce, expressed thrill about the opportunity to join forces with the NHL and bolster his company’s offerings. He said that the NHL-themed product Inspired is working on is poised to appeal to players in North America, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe alike.
