IMG ARENA Acquired LPGA Tour’s Data and Distribution Rights

IMG ARENA and the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour signed an agreement under which the leading sports betting service and content hub secured the official sports betting data and live streaming distribution rights of the women’s professional golf association.

Interactive Data and Content

The deal between London-based IMG ARENA and one of the longest-running women’s professional sports associations in the world will introduce changes in the way data-led content is being presented from the LPGA Tour.

“IMG ARENA is the undoubted leader in producing golf sports betting content, through its game-changing Event Centre. With the full LPGA Tour covered, this is a significant commercial partnership that helps grow the game with thrilling content reaching new audiences and driving fan engagement around the world.”

Brian Carroll, SVP Global Media Distribution, LPGA

Starting from early 2022, IMG ARENA’s Golf Event Centre will feature comprehensive, shot-by-shot real-time data, markets, live streaming and interactive course visualizations from the Tour, with bet365, BoyleSports and Tipsport already confirmed as initial partners.

“Bringing women’s golf to the Event Centre has long been an ambition of IMG ARENA. The LPGA Tour features some of the most talented athletes in the world and weekly tournaments of the finest quality, which will deliver a vast and compelling range of data-led sports betting content for operators and their players.”

Expanding LPGA’s Content Reach

The LPGA Tour, a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female professional golfers from around the world organized by the founded in 1950 organization for female golfers LPGA, features more than 30 tournaments per year, including five major championships and flagship events from North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

The data distribution rights agreement with IMG ARENA that will see LPGA Tour content delivered via live streaming video and data feeds to over 470 sportsbooks worldwide is a natural continuation of a similar deal IMG ARENA signed with PGA of America in collaboration with the PGA Tour last year to add The PGA Championship to its Golf Event Centre and acquire its data distribution rights for sports betting purposes.

IMG ARENA’s portfolio of customers includes the ATP, UFC, European Tour, PGA Tour, EuroLeague, MLS and the FA, while the content hub covers more than 45,000 sports events annually, delivering live streaming video, data feeds and in some cases, on-demand virtual sports products.
