IGT Forms a New 10-Year Wheel of Fortune Alliance with Sony

IGT and Sony Pictures Television are both committed to leveraging the Wheel of Fortune brand to provide customers with opportunities to win and have fun

International Game Technology, a world-class gambling manufacturer, announced a 10-year licensing deal with Sony Pictures Television. Under the agreement, IGT will have access to the acclaimed Wheel of Fortune brand for gaming, iGaming, lottery and iLottery purposes. In addition, IGT will now be able to distribute Wheel of Fortune content for free-to-play social casinos.

Scheduled to run from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2034, the licensing contract will allow the provider to create exciting Wheel of Fortune games for its partners. This serves as an expansion of IGT’s previous arrangement with Sony Pictures Television which saw the former company produce the famous Wheel of Fortune slots.

The slot game currently has over 300 versions and continues to be one of the all-time fan-favorite games. Since 1996, IGT’s Wheel of Fortune slots have paid out over a whopping $3.5 billion in jackpots and have awarded jackpots of over a million dollars to more than 1,100 lucky customers.

In addition to the slot games, IGT also offers Wheel of Fortune-themed Powerbucks games, which continue to drive impressive results in Canada.

Thanks to the agreement with Sony Pictures Television, IGT PlayDigital will now be able to further diversify its Wheel of Fortune portfolio, adding many new experiences for its fans.

The Two Companies Seek to Provide Players with Winning and Fun

Suzanne Prete, Sony Pictures Television’s executive vice president of game shows, commented on the deal with the gaming specialist, calling it a “landmark agreement.” The deal, Prete said, guarantees that players will be able to enjoy best-in-class Wheel of Fortune content for another decade.

Sony Pictures Television and IGT share the same commitment to applying the Wheel of Fortune brand in ingenious ways, creating growth opportunities and ensuring that Wheel of Fortune remains synonymous with winning and fun.
