FanDuel Appoints Two New Directors of Government Relations
The two hires were welcomed on board by Cesar Fernandez, FanDuel’s head of state government relations, who praised their expertise
American betting leader FanDuel Group has enhanced its leadership team with two additions. According to the announcement, James Hartmann and Louis Trombetta have both been designated as directors of government relations.
Both Appointees Have Unique Track Records
According to FanDuel, the appointees will reinforce the company’s ties with the government in states where it already operates, as well as with the government in states where it prepares to launch.
Boasting years of experience in gaming and politics, the two hires will bring valuable expertise to the FanDuel team, allowing it to remain well respected by regulators and legislators.
According to FanDuel, Hartmann is a former prosecutor who moved into politics, working in multiple roles at the Illinois House of Representatives before becoming the chief counsel of the Illinois Speaker of the House and House Parliamentarian. During this time, he also served as lead gaming attorney for the house and was responsible for negotiating and drafting the legislation that launched sports betting in Illinois. He also played a key role in the launch of a casino in Chicago.
Trombetta, on the other hand, has more than ten years of experience in the gaming industry. He served as the first executive director of the Florida Gaming Control Commission and was in charge of the agency’s legislative priorities. His regulatory experience will be invaluable as FanDuel targets further growth.
The Two Directors Are Looking Forward to Helping FanDuel Grow
The two appointees expressed excitement about the opportunity to join FanDuel and help it fulfill its growth goals. Hartmann said that the operator had always stood out to him as a remarkable innovator and a pioneer in responsible gambling.
I look forward to bringing my legislative and legal expertise to the team in a way that continues to support FanDuel’s growth.
