Fanatics Inks Deal with IBIA Becoming Its Newest Member
The leading sports platform Fanatics revealed that its online and retail sports wagering division, Fanatics Betting and Gaming, inked a new partnership with the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA)
Thanks to the new collaboration, Fanatics joins a growing roster of leading companies and brands within the global sports betting industry. To date, 125 sports betting brands as well as 45 companies around the world have joined forces with IBIA, strengthening further the position of integrity monitoring.
Formerly known as ESSA, which was founded in 2005, the IBIA is an organization that serves as the global voice of the regulated wagering industry around the world. The organization is run by operators for operators and seeks to safeguard the integrity of betting from tampering and match-fixing.
The Association has a monitoring network that analyses and detects different suspicious activities within the betting markets of its members. Currently, the organization has established partnerships with regulators as well as leading sports organizations, enabling it to leverage in-depth data in an effort against match-fixing and corruption.
IBIA Is Excited to Expand Portfolio of Partners
Khalid Ali, IBIA’s CEO, explained that the organization is excited to team up with another respected, trusted and globally recognized brand. He acknowledged that Fanatics Betting and Gaming joining the Association will significantly boost its already growing presence in the US and North America. At the same time, Ali outlined that Fanatics’ entry comes amid high interest in US-based companies to join IBIA.

Per the terms of the deal, IBIA’s CEO explained, that Fanatics will be added to the Association’s continuously growing global integrity network. Within this network, the company joins some of the largest operators within the regulated sports wagering vertical. Finally, Ali said: “Fanatics Sportsbook’s decision to join IBIA demonstrates its desire to utilize the best integrity protection available globally for its sports betting product.”

Fanatics Betting and Gaming’s SVP trading, Andrew Wright, added that the collaboration with IBIA marks a milestone moment for the company. Moreover, he explained that the collaboration will help ensure a secure betting environment ahead of the upcoming expansion of the company’s sports betting platform planned this year. In conclusion, Wright said that the collaboration will further strengthen the global monitoring capabilities within the sports betting vertical.
